"We are delighted with the variety and quality of the applications. It is particularly important to us that every application is treated with respect," emphasizes team boss Bernd Reutemann. "That's why every talent receives personal feedback - an effort that pays off."

Many athletes actively take advantage of the opportunity to meet the team boss in person ("Meet the Teamchef") - a sign of the high level of trust in the project.

"In Haiming, an athlete came up to me to thank me for the feedback on her application two years ago - even though she didn't make the team. This appreciation is formative for many young female riders - and a matter of course for us," says Reutemann.

Every day, the team manager holds up to ten meetings with talented youngsters, parents and coaches - a key part of sustainable youth development work for him.

Here is an overview of our application process:

At the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Leogang, the team once again delivered strong sporting performances.

Katrin Embacher once again proved her consistency and achieved 9th place in difficult conditions. Natalia (12th place), Giuliana (24th place after a strong chase) and Marta (28th place) also achieved top placings in the mud of Leogang in the strong field of women.

In the men's race, a technical defect at the start system caused three false starts - but Ian Ackert was undeterred and achieved his best World Cup result with an outstanding 5th place. Ethan Rose fought his way up to 21st place after an unfortunate start, while Raphaël Chazaly impressed in his World Cup debut in the U23 category with a solid 27th place.
