History

When the main sponsor of the MTB Team Centurion-Vaude, which had been very successful for many years, withdrew from racing in 2020, the current team manager Bernd Reutemann set out to find new cooperation partners and to align the team for the future. Due to Corona, it was certainly not the best time to get companies interested in a mountain bike team.

In 2021 we started as Team TREK | VAUDE with the goal to offer young talents from Germany and Austria a good development environment and to make a name for ourselves as a development team in the long run.

In the first season in the Cross-Country World Cup we wanted to get in first. Then everything turned out differently and we stood at the top of the podium in all World Cups, won 2 World Cup titles, 2 European Championship titles and 3 national championship titles. It all happened very quickly. Our goal was and is to bring young athletes to the top of the world, always taking into account the health of the athletes.

Alex Miller represented the team at the Tokyo Olympics. Philip Handl became European champion in the XCM ultra distance. Sascha Weber rode an enormously strong XCM season and eventually became runner-up at the German Championships. Charly Markt and Gregor Raggl also had a good season and were on the podium at the national championships in XCO and long distance.

With the successful work in the U23 area, the foundation was laid for the 2022 season and from2023 we will now start as Team: TREK FUTURE RACING. And the name says it all: As a talent factory for TREK FACTORY RACING, we are fully focused on the long-term development of young athletes from all over the world.
